The owner of an 86' Nordhavn under construction wanted a classic styled yacht tender to store on the foredeck. He wanted a comfortable and nimble center console power boat that he could use to explore uncharted inlets, shuttle guest back and forth and enjoy various water sports when in warm waters. He also wanted the tender to be a beautiful wooden boat. The result was t/t DIVEMASTER.
The tender was designed to meet very specific overall size and weight perameters. The existing area of the foredeck was very tight and the crane cold not lift more than 3,000 lbs. Instead of a typical outboard powered tender, a 190 hp Volvo diesel stern drive was chosen so that gasoline did not need to be carried onboard the "mother ship". In addition to the tender, the design work included a custom folding T-top so that the lifting bridle could be rigged and a polished pair of stainless steel chocks for the tender to rest in when stowed on the foredeck.
Pease Boatworks did a beautiful job building the boat with Awlgripped topsides, varnished teak coamings, full electronics package and teak decking.
